Practice community

A joint practice is a form of cooperation between contract doctors and contract psychotherapists . It is an association of two or more doctors or psychotherapists to work in common practice rooms with joint staff.

The doctors or psychotherapists but practice as opposed to the professional association , which is usually in the form of: (group practice earlier) civil law operates, or for the Medical Care Center no medical or psychotherapeutic activities jointly and form no economic settlement community, but only a community of costs. In joint practices, the doctors or psychotherapists appear independently in the treatment contract and in the accounting relationship with the respective statutory health insurance physicians and each account for themselves.

The same applies to joint practices of dentists who settle accounts with their respective statutory dental association . There are several legally independent medical practices in jointly operated rooms with jointly used inventory and jointly employed staff.
