Price regulating granaries in Yu County
The price regulating grain stores or compensation stores ( Chinese 常 平倉 / 常 平仓 , Pinyin Chángpíngcāng , English Ever-normal granary ) in Yu County, Hebei Province , People's Republic of China , were formerly also called "Banyucang" 半 豫 仓. These are several granary buildings that were set up after the buffer stock scheme (Engl. Buffer stock scheme to regulate) prices. They are also conceptually distinguished from the reservoirs for bad harvests (huimincang 惠民 仓) in Chinese.
The price regulating granary in Yu County is a Ming Dynasty structure , the first in Yuzhou history. According to records, there were 11 stores with 55 rooms. In the Guangxu government period of the Qing period 4554 dan , 9 dou , 5 shao were stored, in the Xianfeng government period 14453 dan , 1 sheng , 9 ge , 2 shao . Today four of these stores still exist. They face each other, two in the north, two in the south. They are brick-and-timber buildings covered with roof tiles. On the wider side there are 5 rooms, 2 rooms to the rear, between the storerooms there is a memory god temple ( cangshenmiao ), connected to the temple is a theater stage, it is on the same foundation.
The price regulation granary ( Changpingcang ) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-339) since 2006 .
