Price transparency database

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The price transparency database is a database for querying fuel prices in Austria . According to the announcement, since August 22, 2011, fuel prices for a location can be queried.

Legal basis

In contrast to privately operated queries such as those of the automobile clubs ARBÖ or ÖAMTC , this price transparency database is regulated by law. The Price Transparency Act and the Price Transparency Ordinance on Fuel Prices 2011 (which came into force on August 2, 2011) require petrol station operators to report price changes to diesel fuel and premium petrol ( RON 95) from August 8, 2011 . The database is maintained by Energie-Control GmbH .

Transmission of prices

Price changes must be reported promptly via the Internet, SMS or electronic data exchange . No manual intervention is necessary with automated transmission. The mandatory daily report at 12 noon must be made immediately . Further changes must be submitted within 30 minutes. According to the press release of the Federal Ministry of Economics, Family and Youth , it is assumed that operators will report price reductions very quickly so that they can appear in the database.
