history

Premier Foods was founded in 1975 by Harry Solomon and David Thompson. In 2004 the company went public. In 2007 Rank Hovis McDougall was taken over for 1.2 billion British pounds and thus came into the possession of brands such as Cadbury plc , Sharwood’s and Bisto .

Products

The company produces soft drinks, confectionery, pastries, convenience food , flours and spices. The most important brands (sometimes only as regional rights holder) include: Ambrosia (pudding), Angel Delight (desserts), Atora (condiments), Batchelors (convenience food, especially instant soups), Be-Ro (flour), Birds (desserts) , Bisto (sauces), Cadbury's (pastries), Homepride (sauces), Loyd (sauces), Grossman (sauces), Lyons (pastries), Marvel (powdered milk), McDougalls (flour and baking mixes), Mr Kipling (cakes), Ormo (Pastries), Oxo (canned foods and sauces), Paxo ( farces ), Saxa (salt), Sharwood's (sauces) and Smash (mashed potatoes).
