Premier Foods was founded in 1975 by Harry Solomon and David Thompson. In 2004 the company went public. In 2007 Rank Hovis McDougall was taken over for 1.2 billion British pounds and thus came into the possession of brands such as Cadbury plc , Sharwood’s and Bisto .

The company produces soft drinks, confectionery, pastries, convenience food , flours and spices.
