Prescott Island is an uninhabited island in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago . It is located in Peel Sound between Prince of Wales Island and Somerset Island .
Politically, the island belongs to the Qikiqtaaluk region in the Canadian territory of Nunavut .
Prescott Island is oval in shape and has a land area of 412 km².
Together with four other smaller islands, Binstead Island, Lock Island, Pandora Island and Vivian Island , Prescott Island forms a barrier at the entrance to Browne Bay , a bay in the east of Prince of Wales Island.
