The FC Preussen 1907 Chemnitz was a German football club from Chemnitz-Gablenz that existed from 1907 to 1945. Home was the Preußenplatz Clausstrasse .

society

Prussia Chemnitz was founded in 1907 and played in the championship of the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs . Initially, FC Preussen operated in the regional league, from 1924 until 1933 the club was exclusively active in the Central Saxony Gau.

The greatest sporting success was the 1926 runner-up in the Central Saxon championship, in which the Prussians came in behind the Chemnitz BC in 1899 . In the associated qualification for the short-term runner- up Central German Championship, the Chemnitz team beat VfB Annaberg and BV Olympia-Germania Leipzig , but lost 8-0 to Fortuna Leipzig in the next round .

The Gauliga Sachsen , introduced in 1933, missed Preussen Chemnitz in fourth place and was classified in the Chemnitz district class area, which the FCP consistently held with secured midfield positions. In 1944 the club was once again briefly integrated into the Saxon Gauliga, which came to a standstill after a few games. A new establishment did not take place after 1945.
