Friedrichsfeld Prussian Column on the historic village of Anger

The Prussians column on the lawn of the Alfred Kowalke Road is a from sandstone manufactured war memorial , the Prussian wars in the 19th century to the fallen from the village Friedrichsfelde recalls. The column was designed and installed by the (probably Fürstenwalder) sculptor Thié. The teacher Zemlin acted as a consultant and the Schulz company is named in the documents as the client.

The listed column, resting on a rectangular base , bears the following inscriptions:

"The fallen in memory, the living in recognition, the future generations to emulate."

On another page there is the entry under an iron cross designed as a relief :

"Friedrichsfelde his sons who died in 1866, 1870 and 1871"

After several redesigns of the former village green, the Prussian Column was kept almost in its original location and its base was restored.
