Prinz-Georg-Strasse 100

House at Prinz-Georg-Strasse 100

The residential high- rise building at Prinz-Georg-Straße 100 in Düsseldorf-Pempelfort was built from 1924 to 1925 based on designs by Gustav August Munzer . The triangular, tower-like skyscraper with a brick facade is an example of expressionist architecture in Düsseldorf - it "is one of the few large buildings where the expressionistically misleading or exaggerated label for Rhenish brick architecture actually applies". The Düsseldorf residential high-rise was influenced by other Düsseldorf buildings, but also by buildings in other cities - so “Influences from Bonatz ' silent company , from Höger's Chilehaus in Hamburg or from Körner's Essen stock exchange [...] cannot be overlooked without a stylistic proximity to the Wilhelm Marx House was waived by Kreis ”.

The building was on 29 June 1984 under monument protection provided.
