Priority Pass

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Priority Pass is a system for using airport lounges without the participant having to be a member of a privileged frequent flyer program of the respective airline (lounge operator).

Priority Pass offers three different memberships, "Standard", "Standard Plus" and "Prestige". They differ in the annual fee and the number of free entries. With "Standard" all entries are chargeable, with "Standard-Plus" the first 10, with "Prestige" all entries are free.

Membership grants access to currently (2018) more than 1200 business class lounges (no first class) or independent lounges, most of which are operated by airports . Members may, depending on the rules of the lounge, bring guests with them, for whom they always have to pay admission, regardless of their own membership status.

The program was launched in 1992. The London-Croydon- based company has offices in Hong Kong, China and Dallas, Texas. The provider employs 100 people worldwide, who serve around 1.5 million customers.

In 2017 the company had just under £ 300 million in sales.
