Priscilla is a small impact crater on the front of the moon . It is part of the Catena Davy crater chain , which runs in a north-easterly direction through the interior of the Davy Y crater , which lies to the east of the Mare Cognitum .

The name designation goes back to an originally unofficial designation on sheet 77D1 / S1 of the Topophotomap map series of NASA , which was adopted by the IAU in 1976.
