The Hösl private brewery (also: Hösl-Bräu ) is a beer brewery in Mitterteich in the Upper Palatinate .

history

On February 1, 1906, Michael Hösl sen. the Gambrinus brewery in Mitterteich, originally founded in 1870 . Due to name disputes with the Gambrinus brewery in Weiden , the brewery was renamed Hösl-Bräu in 1930 . In 1947, son Hans Hösl took over the business. On January 1, 1985, his sons Michael and Maximilian Hösl took over the brewery, now trading as Höslbräu OHG . After the bankruptcy of the OHG in 1993, Michael Hösl continued the business in the third generation as the Hösl private brewery . The output generated by 25 employees is currently around 50,000 hectoliters per year.

During the more than 100-year history of the Hösl private brewery, numerous conversions, extensions and new buildings were built. For example, in 1967 a 100 meter deep well was drilled to supply the brewing water.

Products

The product range includes the beers Edelhell , noble Pilsener , Hösl primary matter , Upper Palatinate Country Gold , Hearty pub beer , tandem cyclists , marches , Abt Andreas and Communbräu-Zoigl .

Wheat beers in the range are "Weissbier Resi" light wheat beer , "Weissbier Resi" light wheat beer , "Weissbier Resi" dark wheat beer , "Weissbier Resi" wedding wheat beer and Wiskey-Weisse .

Süffikus strong beer and Communbräu Winterzoigl are produced seasonally .

It is filled in both crown cap bottles and swing-top bottles .

Sales are primarily regional. Deliveries are also made to Italy, Poland and France.
