Well before 1834 there was a loose interest group for the purpose of holding annual shootings. On January 11th, 1834, on the initiative of the country doctor Johann Samuel Höhn, today's Privileged Shooting Society was founded with a total of 33 members.

On January 14, 1834, an application for approval was made to the Freiherrlich v. Lerchenfeld'sches Patrimonialgericht Heinersreuth and on April 5, 1834 to the royal district court Stadtsteinach .

In 1848 the property at Pressecker Knock was bought and in the same year a shooting house with cellar, dance hall, shooting range was built. On June 20, 1883, the privilege was acquired through the adoption of the Bavarian Shooting Regulations of August 25, 1868.

On December 25, 1882 the old rifle house burned down. Reconstruction followed in 1883.

In 1927, the rifle house was badly damaged in a severe storm on the night of July 17th to 18th, and the roof was almost completely covered. In a newspaper we find the following note on June 18, 1927: "The thunderstorms that pulled over our heights last night caused enormous damage ... The most terrible thing was our rifle house on the nearby Knock. From a tornado or maybe also The east gable side of the house was dented or smashed in by a so-called cold lightning bolt. The huge storm hit part of the roof and hurled the roof sound system with the slate and 15-18 cm thick beams free in the air with such force over the long side of the rest of the building Part of the roof that the trunk of the peace oak that was planted in 1871 at the main entrance of the shooting house in front of the balcony was splintered from the gable to meters high from the ground. Part of the demolished roof is halfway from the district road to the shooting house in the open space of the systems, the other part on the left from the rifle's house on the rabbit stand. The devastation is not in words ht to describe ... "

The following year, in 1928, the rifle house was renovated and a stage was added.
