Paul David Sirba
Paul David Sirba (born September 2, 1960 in Minneapolis , † December 1, 2019 in Duluth, Minnesota ) was an American Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Duluth .
Life
Paul David Sirba was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis on May 31, 1986 after his training at St. Paul Seminary in St. Paul . He was active in pastoral care and became vicar general in 2009 .
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on October 15, 2009 Bishop of Duluth. The Archbishop of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, John Clayton Nienstedt , donated him episcopal ordination on December 14 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Peter Forsyth Christensen , Bishop of Superior , and the auxiliary bishop in Saint Paul and Minneapolis, Lee Anthony Piché .
