criticism

The e-zine Laut.de rated Pro Tools with three of a possible five points. From the editor's point of view, Simon Müller, the album leaves " an ambivalent impression ". GZA transforms " extraordinary talent through a lot of work into more than good rap ". However, the “ sometimes too monotonous musical background ” prevents the listener from “ really enjoying this circumstance ”. The pieces Groundbreaking and 7 Pounds are positively highlighted . The 7 pound instrumental produced by Black Milk is praised as melodic and complex. In addition, the GZA production animate " to unusually dynamic flows ". On the other hand, the well-rehearsed guitar in the piece 0% Finance and the sample used in Path Of Destruction are annoying due to " consistent repetition ". With Paper Plate, RZA contributed a production that was “ minimalistically integrated ”, but sounded “ all the more atmospheric ”.
