Proceso Jarasa Alcala (born July 2, 1955 in Lucena City ) is a Filipino politician .
biography
Alcala became a member of the House of Representatives for the first time in 2004 as a candidate of the Liberal Party and represented the interests of the 2nd electoral district of Quezon Province there until 2010 . While he was a member of parliament, he was vice-chairman of the Committee on Agriculture, Food and Fisheries and a member of several other committees.
After the elections in the Philippines in 2010 , he was on June 30, 2010 by President Benigno Aquino III. the Minister of Agriculture ( Secretary of Agriculture appointed) in the Cabinet.
