Profile letter
Profile letters are tailor-made metal or plastic letters that are often used on public buildings in businesses, churches and other organizations, but also on shops, banks and companies outside in the course of advertising .
Different types of profile letters
The types are referred to in manufacturing technology as Profile 1, Profile 3 and Profile 5.
Profile 1
First, the shape of the letter is lasered or milled from sheet metal (usually aluminum or stainless steel ) . A sheet of the same material is then bent to match the shape of the letter. This shape is then soldered or welded to the previously cut flat letters.
Profile 3
Here the letter is produced in the same way as profile 1. However, the letter is equipped with LEDs . Now you can attach the letter to the wall with spacers. The type of production now creates a corona effect through the backlit profile letters.
Profile 5
With this type, a shape of the letter is first lasered or milled from flat material . Aluminum is often used for profile 5 letters , as its low weight means that very large advertising systems can also be produced. Here, too, a frame is bent from the same material, which is then welded or soldered to the flat letters. Now you can equip the profile letter with LEDs. Next, the shape of the letter is milled out of acrylic glass, which is available in many different RAL colors. This is now framed by a plastic edge band (also called a trim cap). Now you can attach the acrylic part to the profile like a lid. Due to the translucency of the acrylic glass you now have a luminous letter.
