Projekt41 is a German pop-rock band from Waldheim , which has been playing with a changing line-up since 1989. Her most commercially successful songs include I want to tell you (2001) and What stays is cold smoke (2002).

history

In 1989 Sven Panuschka met André Franke while he was working for the NVA . He taught him to play the guitar and the two eventually founded the band "Projekt41", named after the address of their first rehearsal room in Waldheim, Saxony. From the very beginning they pursued the goal of making rock and pop music with their own titles.

In 2001 they released the single I will tell you with the Hamburg producer Peter Sebastian . Two albums followed, as well as appearances on radio and television and at festivals. On the MDR show Lucky Star , her title What remains is cold smoke was voted third by viewers. Joint appearances with DJ BoBo , Spider Murphy Gang , Silbermond or Captain Jack as well as on the Day of German Unity in front of the Brandenburg Gate made them known to a wider audience.

Shortly afterwards, the band separated from their management in order to be able to stay true to their style. Some personnel changes followed.

In 2000 René Bergmann received a voucher for a trial lesson in music with Sven Panuschka. His enthusiasm was aroused, he learned keyboard and piano, later guitar. His first big appearance was in Döbeln in 2002 . Bergmann obtained his sound engineer certificate in 2010 and studied to be an audio engineer. Since 2013 he has been responsible for mixing and recording at Projekt41.

In 2012 Ronny Plenikowski came to the band's own studio to record a CD as a solo entertainer. He learned to play together in a band from Sven Panuschka and René Bergmann and has been a keyboardist since 2013. In 2016 Marco Paulisch, a former student of Panuschka, joined the band as a drummer. Shortly afterwards his wife Jenny took over the part as bassist.

The band was completed by the Berlin multi-instrumentalist Kalle Ricken , known as "The Blue Violin".
