Josh Segarra

Josh Segarra (born June 3, 1986 in Longwood , Florida ) is an American actor . He gained fame primarily through the role of Adrian Chase from the Arrow series .
Early years
Josh Segarra was born in Florida. He has Puerto Rican roots and is a Pentecostal supporter . In church he learned to sing. Already during school he was on the theater stage, both as an actor and as a singer. After leaving school, he attended the Tisch School of the Arts . One of his early childhood dreams was to become a professional wrestler .
Career
Segarra has been an actor since 2005 after taking on a small role in the TV movie Death Swarm 2 - Vampire Bats . In 2008 he played a supporting role in The Narrows . From 2009 to 2011 he played the lead role of Hector Ruiz in the series The Electric Company . He then appeared in the series Homeland (television series) , The Following and Blue Bloods - Crime Scene New York in guest roles. From 2014 to 2015 he was part of the main cast of the Sirens series as Billy Cepeda . In 2015 he played a supporting role in the comedy film Dating Queen . Between 2014 and 2016, Segarra appeared on the Chicago PD series.
From 2016 to 2019 Segarra was part of the series Arrow as Adrian Chase , in which he was part of the main cast of the fifth season. Between 2018 and 2019 he was CO Stefanovic on the cast of the sixth season of Orange Is the New Black . In 2019 he took on a supporting role in the series The Other Two . Since 2020 he can be seen as Hector Ramirez in one of the leading roles in the Netflix series AJ and the Queen .
As in the early years, Segarra regularly appears on the theater stage. In 2011, for example, he was part of the cast of the musical Lysistrata Jones . In 2012 he took part in the musical Dogfight - An Ugly Game . Parallel to his appearances before the camera and on stage he lends occasionally characters from video games his voice including Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto V . In German it is often dubbed by Valentin Stilu .
Personal
In 2014 Segarra married his longtime friend Brace Rice. In 2016 their first child together, a son, was born. Their second son was born in January 2020. In addition to English, Segarra speaks fluent Spanish, which is his mother tongue, and runs his own fantasy football league.
