Sirens is an American television series that premiered on March 6, 2014 on USA Network . The series consists of 23 episodes in two seasons, because the broadcasting station refrained from a sequel due to weak ratings. A German-language first broadcast was originally planned from July 20, 2015 on ProSieben . Due to restructuring in PrimeTime, the broadcast date was postponed to November 27th.

The series is about the paramedics Johnny and Hank and the paramedic in the internship Brian, who work together in one shift on the ambulance at the Emergency Medical Technicians Chicago. Hank is very experienced in his job and defines himself as an African American homosexual in the series . His long-time colleague Johnny is a reluctance to commit and a narcissist . Together they train their new colleague Brian, who is still very inexperienced.
