Project opportunity

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Chance project is a free-form youth penal system of the CJD Creglingen in Creglingen - Frauental in Tauberfranken .

Emergence

Since 1953, juvenile punishment has been possible in free forms, at that time still through Section 91 (3) of the Juvenile Court Act (JGG), which was valid until December 31, 2007 . The Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Justice under Justice Minister Ulrich Goll has taken this path for the first time . On June 30, 2003, the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Justice issued a new administrative regulation for the penal system for young people in free forms. The two facilities Projekt Chance and Seehaus Leonberg were officially approved here. There have been two such institutions in Germany since 2003: the Chance project in Creglingen in the former Frauental monastery and the Seehaus Leonberg. Young people who are willing to work on themselves can apply for the project from the juvenile prison system.

Project

procedure

With the approval of the head of the institution, the young people spend their entire prison term in the project. In the Chance project, you can expect a well-structured and tough day-to-day work. The daily routine begins with morning exercise, until 10 p.m. the young people are integrated into a consistently planned educational program. House cleaning, school, work, professional preparation, sport, community service, offender-victim compensation and social training are an integral part of the concept and serve to enable young people to learn to take responsibility and to reintegrate into society as law-abiding citizens.

The basis of the project is the Christian image of man. The vision of the CJD is “Nobody should be lost!”. In school, the young people can complete their secondary school leaving certificate and be prepared for further school leaving certificates.

Positive youth culture

The project works with the PPC ( Positive Peer Culture ) approach . The young people should take responsibility for one another and guide one another. This should teach them to be there for others and to support one another.

Even after their release, the young people will continue to receive support from the CJD Creglingen. The integration team is still at your side for questions and problems.

Legal background

The Baden-Württemberg Juvenile Prison Act is anchored in free forms as the third form of execution alongside closed and open execution (Section 27 JStVollzG-Ba-Wü). In the Saxon and Rhineland-Palatinate Youth Prison Act, juvenile punishment in free forms is also anchored as a third form of execution (Section 13 (3) SächsJStVollzG / LJSTVollzG Rhineland-Palatinate). According to the drafts of most of the other federal states, juvenile detention can be carried out in free forms as a relaxation measure.
