Ulrich Goll
Ulrich Goll (born May 2, 1950 in Überlingen ) is a German politician of the FDP and former Minister of Justice of Baden-Württemberg .
education and profession
Ulrich Goll grew up in Bodman . After high school and high school in Freiburg , he studied law at the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg and at the University of Konstanz . He then received his doctorate in Constance on an employment law topic. During his studies he joined the Corps Hubertia Freiburg .
From 1979 to 1982 Goll was a department head at the district office of the Lake Constance district . After that, at the age of 32, he was appointed professor at the Weingarten University of Applied Sciences , where he was primarily involved in the training of social workers from 1982 to 1988 and from 1992 to 1995 . From 1995 to 1996 he worked at what was then Südwestfunk as head of the human resources and social affairs department in Baden-Baden .
Political activity
Ulrich Goll joined the FDP Baden-Württemberg in 1980. From 1984 to 1995 he was a local councilor in Salem and from 1984 to 1989 he was a member of the association assembly of the regional association Bodensee-Oberschwaben . In 1988 Goll was elected to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , where he became deputy to the new parliamentary group chairman Walter Döring . In 1992 Goll missed his re-entry into the state parliament and initially returned to his work as a professor at the technical college before moving to Südwestfunk as HR manager. From 1994 to 1995 was a member of the district council of the Lake Constance district. In 1996, after the formation of the CDU / FDP government, Goll became Minister of Justice for the state of Baden-Württemberg and the state government's commissioner for foreigners . Completely surprisingly, Goll resigned from his position as Minister of Justice at the end of 2002 and moved to a Heidelberg law firm. On July 28, 2004, he was reappointed Minister of Justice in Baden-Württemberg after his predecessor Corinna Werwigk-Hertneck had resigned because of the Döring affair. After the state elections in 2006 , Goll moved back to the state parliament as a member of parliament through a second mandate in the Waiblingen constituency . From June 14, 2006, Goll was also Deputy Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg in addition to his position as Minister of Justice. He took over this function from his ministerial colleague Ernst Pfister . In the state elections in 2011 , after significant losses to his party, he again entered the state parliament as one of seven FDP members, but lost his office as Minister of Justice and Deputy Prime Minister.
Goll claimed in the documentary by Katja & Clemens Riha: The fight for the truth. The NSU and too many questions , 3sat 2015, that none of the RAF murders had been solved.
Other memberships, offices and honors
Ulrich Goll was chairman of the Reinhold Maier Foundation from 1990 to 2016 . Since 2003 he has been chairman of the Projekt Chance eV association, which is active in the field of youth and criminal assistance as well as crime prevention. Goll is a member of the supervisory board of Landesmesse Stuttgart. From 2002 to 2003 he was a member of the board of trustees of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation .

Ulrich Goll is Catholic. He is married for the second time and has five children.
