The Reinhold Maier Foundation is a party-affiliated foundation of the FDP in Baden-Württemberg .
Goals and educational offers
The foundation was established in 1977 and is named after the FDP politician and former federal chairman Reinhold Maier . It is a recognized non-profit foundation for political further education. The foundation has set itself the task of “imparting knowledge in the sense of a liberal attitude to all interested parties, especially young generations, to keep personality values alive and to consolidate democratic foundations in politics”. For this purpose, it holds seminars and lectures and issues publications.
The Reinhold Maier Foundation works closely with the Baden-Württemberg State Office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Stuttgart .

Reinhold Maier Medal
The Reinhold Maier Medal, which is awarded alternately by the Reinhold Maier Foundation, the FDP / DVP parliamentary group and the FDP Baden-Württemberg, has been awarded since 1989 to people who “care about liberalism in a special way have earned the value of freedom ”.
Reinhold Maier needle
The Reinhold-Maier-Nadel has been awarded by the Reinhold-Maier-Stiftung since 1997 to people "who have been active as liberals, especially at the local level, and who have made a contribution to 'grassroots democracy' in the spirit of Reinhold Maier."
