Origin and purpose

The Wolfgang Döring Foundation was founded in 1967 and is named after the FDP politician Wolfgang Döring . It is an educational institution whose purpose is to promote democratic attitudes and liberal virtues. For this purpose, it holds seminars and lectures, among other things. The chairman of the foundation is Axel Hoffmann , his deputy is Gisela Piltz .

The Wolfgang Döring Foundation works closely with the North Rhine-Westphalia regional office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Gummersbach .
