The Erhard Hübener Foundation e. V. is a party-affiliated foundation of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) in Saxony-Anhalt with headquarters in Halle (Saale) .

History, goals and educational opportunities

The foundation is named after the former governor of the province of Saxony (1924–1933) and later Prime Minister of Saxony-Anhalt (1946–1949), Erhard Hübener ( DDP or LDP ).

The foundation was founded on July 10, 1993 by a group of liberal personalities from Saxony-Anhalt, which in 1990 under the name “Society for the spread of liberal ideas e. V. “united. It pursues exclusively and directly charitable purposes that aim to promote the idea of liberalism in Saxony-Anhalt. To this end, the foundation organizes seminars in the field of political adult education and issues its own publications .

The Foundation is cooperating since 2001 with the country office means Germany, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation and has since 2010 in the house where Hans-Dietrich Genscher in Halle district Reideburg the education and meeting German unit .

Board

The chairman of the foundation's board of directors is Wolfgang Böhm , former State Secretary in the Ministry of Culture of Saxony-Anhalt , his deputy Cornelia Pieper , former State Minister in the Foreign Office . The chairman of the board of trustees is the lawyer Detlef Bischoff.
