Prosopographia Attica

The Prosopographia Attica (abbreviation: PA ) is a prosopographical reference work in Latin. It covers about 16,000 alphabetically arranged short biographies of mainly inscriptions testified Athenians of ancient times . It is limited to Attic citizens and the time up to Augustus .

The PA was created by Johannes Kirchner and appeared in two volumes in 1901 and 1903 (photomechanical reprint 1966). In 1910 Johannes Sundwall published supplements to the Prosopographia Attica (reprint 1971).
