Proton pseudos

Proton Pseudos , ancient Greek πρῶτον ψεῦδος , literally the first lie , fundamental error , is a concept of Aristotelian logic . It designates the first false premise in a deduction , from which further false statements usually follow, even if the conclusion is formally correct.

Example:
Tux is a penguin, therefore a bird.
All birds can fly. ( proton pseudos )
As a result, Tux can fly.
