Pselnophorus poggei is a species from the family of feather moths (Pterophoridae). It occurs in Ukraine , southern Russia , Iran and Asia Minor .
Pselnophorus poggei was in 1862 by Josef Johann man by the name Oxyptilus brachydactylus var. Poggei first described . He considered it "if not as a separate species, then at least an interesting local variety " that he found in June in a grassy ravine overgrown with chestnut trees. He also noted “quite rarely”. Terra typica is the area around Bursa (Brussa), capital of the Turkish province of Bursa in the west of Asia Minor.
In 1987 Aleksei Konstantinovich Zagulyaev described Pselnophorus borzhomi . He considered Pselnophorus poggei to be a subspecies of Pselnophorus heterodactylus and saw for Pselnophorus borzhomi a "great resemblance to this", but considered Pselnophorus borzhomi a "good species". However, genital comparisons showed that Pselnophorus borzhomi completely matches Pselnophorus poggei and is therefore a synonym of Pselnophorus poggei . The type specimen of Pselnophorus borzhomi was also identified by Christoph as brachydactylus var. Poggei .
features
According to Mann's first description, the species of Pselnophorus heterodactyla ( Oxyptilus brachydactylus ) is distinguished by the dark gray-brown basic color and, in his words, the bright white of the drawing on the wings and fringes.
