Under a Psychosomatose refers to a disease for which there is on the one hand, an organic correlate with morphological changes, but are presumed also that psychological factors have a significant influence on the origin and history. The psychological diagnosis according to ICD-10 is coded with F54 ( Psychological factors and behavioral factors in diseases classified elsewhere ) in combination with the corresponding physical diagnosis.

In some places in the literature, a psychological influence is suspected in the following physical illnesses:

Migraine (G43)
Tinnitus (H93.1)
Bronchial asthma (J45)
Ulcerative colitis (K51)
Mucous colitis (K58)
arterial hypertension (I10)
Crohn's disease (K50)
Gastric ulcer (ulcus ventriculi K25)
Duodenal ulcer (Ulcus duodeni K26)
Eczema (L20) - The number F54 could here dysfunctional illness behavior as an itch-scratch cycle, point. In the case of psychological consequences, an adjustment disorder (F43.2) or social phobia (F40.1) should also be coded.
Psoriasis (L40)
Hives ( urticaria L50)
Obesity ( obesity due to excessive consumption of food energy E66.0)

Diabetes mellitus - It should be checked whether the diagnosis of an adjustment disorder (F43.2) is also fulfilled.

Dorsopathy is more commonly coded as F45.4 and rarely as F54.

In the literature it is occasionally pointed out that tension headache could also be coded in combination with F54. In the ICD-10, however, tension headaches (G44.2) are excluded. Tension headache can also be coded as F45.4.
