Pulastya
Pulastya ( Sanskrit पुलस्त्य Pulastya m .; Pali : Pulatthi) is one of the seven Saptarishi in Hinduism and thus also one of the seven stars in the Great Bear .

Pulastya is one of the spirit-born sons of Brahma , from whom he received the Vishnu Purana , which he passed on to his disciple Parashara .
Pulastya is the father of Vishravas and thus the grandfather of Kubera and Ravana , the mythical king of Lanka and opponent of Rama . The demonic Rakshasa also descend from Pulastya .
Others
The place Polonnaruva (Pali: Pulatthinagara) in Sri Lanka is named after Pulastya.
