Pulau Berbunot (also Pulo Burbunut ) is a small island in the mouth of the Brunei River in Brunei .
geography
The island is part of the Seria Anticline and is a branch of the hill that extends from southwest to northeast into Brunei Bay . This formation continues as mangrove-lined sandbars south to the Limbang area , Malaysia .
Pulau Baru-Baru itself rises only a few meters above the water level. It has a bone-shaped floor plan, is now densely forested and uninhabited. It is occasionally used by the military for training purposes.
South of the island are the two tiny islands of Pulau Silipan and Pulau Silamak .
