There are only two pieces of evidence: the ethnologue link and a no longer accessible list of "basic vocabulary". The percentage similarities, for example, have not been proven. (Quite apart from that, these are questionable anyway, because it is completely unclear to which subsets and which population the percentages refer, according to which method and under which linguistic modeling assumptions they were determined, whether language similarities can be reduced to simple percentages at all, etc. )
