Punta Boreal ( Spanish for northern tip ) is the northernmost headland of Cape Shirreff in the north of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located immediately northwest of Punta Este .
Scientists of the 45th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1990–1991) named them after their geographical location.
