Punta de Cala Gat

Cape Punta de Cala Gat

Punta de Cala Gat is a cape on the northeast coast of to Spain belonging Mediterranean island of Mallorca .

It stretches as a narrow headland over about 200 meters south into the Mediterranean Sea, with a width of about 80 meters. The rocky cape reaches a height of up to twelve meters and is essentially free of vegetation. To the west of the cape extends the bay of Cala Gat and behind it the town of Cala Rajada . At the north-western end of the headland is the small bay S'Almadrava . To the northeast is the Punta de Capdepera cape , the most easterly point of Mallorca, with the Far de Capdepera lighthouse . About 100 meters southwest of the cape is the small island of Faralló de Cala Gat .

Punta de Cala Gat belongs to the territory of the municipality of Capdepera .
