The Pyhäjärvi is a lake in the Finnish countryside Northern Ostrobothnia .
The lake is located 160 km south of Oulu in the south of Northern Ostrobothnia. The town of the same name, Pyhäjärvi, lies on its banks. The runoff over the Pyhäjoki River , which drains it north to the Gulf of Bothnia , is regulated. The water level fluctuates between 139 and 140 m. The water surface of the Pyhäjärvi is 121.8 km². The average water depth is 6.3 m, the maximum water depth is 27 m. The catchment area including the lake area is 676 km².
