The Pyongyang Times is a North Korean newspaper without an ISSN that is published once a week in English . The first edition appeared on May 6, 1965. The newspaper 's headquarters are in the Pyongyang district of Sŏsŏng . Until the beginning of the 1990s it appeared twice a week, since then once a week on Saturdays - a total of 52 issues a year. The newspaper has been published in full color since 2010. A total of 3,037 regular issues had been published by the beginning of January 2019. According to the company, the newspaper is distributed in 120 countries.

The Pyongyang Times is the country's only English-language newspaper.

The publishing house for foreign language literature in Pyongyang is in charge of the production of foreign language print products .
