Korea Today is a North Korean magazine published monthly in English , Russian , Chinese , Spanish , Arabic and French . Korea Today emerged from the weekly magazine Новая Корея , (Nowaja Koreja, "New Korea", kor .: 새 조선 ) founded in April 1950 by the publishing house for foreign language literature , which was only published in Russian. Contrary to previous practice, the magazine has been published on glossy paper since the beginning of 2014. A total of 751 issues had appeared by January 2019.
