The Pyramid rock (basically translated from English pyramid rock ) is a cliff rocks in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located directly in front of the foothills of the Gourdon Peninsula in the northeast of Anvers Island .
Scientists from the UK Discovery Investigations mapped and named it in 1927.
