Pyxis Ridge is a narrow mountain ridge , consisting of nunatak kernels and pierced by passes, in the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 8 km north-northwest of Mount Cadbury and into the south flank of the Ryder Glacier .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the ridge in 1976 after the constellation Ship Compass ( Latin pyxis ).
