Bischr (also Qaryat Bischr or Qaryat al-Baschir ) is a settlement on the Libyan Mediterranean coast on the Gulf of Sidra in the Kyrenaica region .
It is located on Via Balbia about 20 km east of el Agheila and west of Brega and is assigned to the Munizip al-Wahat . Until 2007 it belonged to the former municipality of Ajdabiya .
