Qaus

Qaus is the name of the main god of the Edomites .

The name means "arch", which indicates the original function of a weather god . As a theophoric element, “Qaus” can be found in (Edomite) names throughout the 1st millennium BC. Chr.

The sanctuary was on the Quzah hill in the Muzdalifa plain , now part of Saudi Arabia .
