Qiujiang

Qiujiang ( Chinese 虬江街道 / 虬江街道 , Pinyin Qiújiāng jiēdào ) is a street district in the south of the county town of Sha in the area of the prefecture -level city of Sanming in Fujian Province , People's Republic of China . It has an area of 170 km² and has a population of around 32,000 (2010). The name is a common misspelling for the Wu expression 旧江 or Jiùjiāng, i.e. H. "old river", inspired by the mythical animal Qiu, a kind of hornless dragon that lives in rivers.

Administrative structure

Since the municipal reform in 2003, the street district of Qiujiang has been made up of 2 communities and 19 villages . These are:

Resident Community Chengnan (城南社区);

Residential community Cuilü (翠绿社区);

Anping village (安坪村);

Village Caoyuan (曹元村);

Chafengxia village (茶丰峡村);

Changhong Village (长红村);

Village Duntou (墩头村);

Guannan Village (官南村);

Houdi village (后底村);

Village Jinquan (金泉村);

Village Langkou (琅口村);

Village Maiyuan (麦元村);

Maoping village (茅坪村);

Village Shanfeng (山峰村);

Village Shuinan (水南村);

Village Tiankeng (田坑村);

Village Tiankou (田口村);

Village Xiaodun (肖墩村);

Yangfang Village (洋坊村), the administrative center of the street district;

Village Zhentou (镇头村);

Village Zhuyuan (柱源村).
