Ngô Quang Hải

Ngô Quang Hải is a Vietnamese actor and film director .

Ngô was seen as an actor in a role in Trần Anh Hùng's A Summer in Hanoi (2000).

He made his debut as a feature film director in 2006 with the film Chuyện của Pao (translated “Pao's story”) about a young Hmong woman who goes in search of her mother. This film, with his wife Đỗ Thị Hải Yến in the lead role and based on a short story by Đỗ Bích Thu vier , won the Cánh diều vàng , the most important Vietnamese film award , four times (among other things as “best film”) . It was also Vietnam's entry for a Best Foreign Language Film nomination at the 2007 Academy Awards , but was not nominated.
