Quanta Plus (also Quanta + ) or only Quanta was originally both a source - Editor and a WYSIWYG editor for creating web pages , which for the desktop K Desktop Environment is written.

Quanta also offered extensive functions such as complex project management and supported HTML , XHTML , XML , Java , PHP and JavaScript , among others . In addition, support for debugging was implemented. Therefore Quanta can be called a (web) development environment .

From 2003 to 2006, Quanta Plus was voted the best web editor by members of the LinuxQuestions.org forum.

Quanta has not been actively developed since 2009, but some of the functions were transferred to the sister project KDevelop in 2012 .

In addition, the project is maintained by the Trinity desktop environment and is available as part of it.
