Quark-oil dough

Quark oil dough is a dough made from flour , quark , vegetable oil , milk , eggs and often sugar and spicy ingredients such as vanilla and grated lemon peel , with the addition of baking powder as a raising agent. It is easy to knead and is suitable for sheet cakes , apple turnovers or snails , without sugar also for hearty pastries like sausages wrapped in batter . It is particularly suitable as a relatively quick replacement for yeast dough . Because of the fat content, baked goods made from quark and oil dough are generally classed as fine baked goods .

Manufacturing

Quark, oil, eggs, milk, salt and - if provided for in the recipe - sugar and flavors are mixed together. Baking powder and flour are stirred in until the mass becomes kneadable, then the rest is kneaded in . It is baked at 180–220 ° C.
