Arthur Bernard Cook (born October 22, 1868 in Hampstead (London) , † April 26, 1952 in Cambridge ) was a British classical archaeologist and religious scholar . Together with Jane Ellen Harrison , Francis Macdonald Cornford and Gilbert Murray he was part of the Cambridge Ritualists .

Cook was from 1892 to 1907 Professor of Greek at Bedford College of the University of London . At the same time he was from 1893 to 1899 Fellow of Trinity College at Cambridge University . In 1908 he moved to Cambridge University as a Reader in Classical Archeology and Fellow of Queen's College , where he was Laurence Professor of Classical Archeology from 1931 to 1934. In 1941 he was elected a member of the British Academy .

Cook's research on Greek religion focused primarily on the connections between myths and rituals . His life's work was a monumental study of the Zeus cult , which has been considered a standard work since its publication.
