The quarters or quarters was a measure of volume and fluidity on the island of Sicily . The measure was considered to be the measure of wine and brandy.

  • 1 quarters = 5 pints = 10 mezzettes = 252 Parisian cubic inches 4 7/20 quarters (Prussian) = 5 liters
  • 1 bottle (wine) = 3 Quartieri
  • 1 box (wine) = 18 quarters
  • 1 ton (wine) / botte / both = 100 quartieri = 500 pints = 25,340.4 Parisian cubic inches = 5.0266 hectoliters (in practice 5 hectoliters)
