The quartiero , quarters or quarters, was an Italian measure of volume and was used on the island of Sardinia . The measure remained in use for some time, despite the metric measures declared to be binding on January 1, 1850.

  • 1 Quartiero = 5 pints = 10 mezzets = 5.0266 liters
  • 3 Quartiero = 1 bottle
  • 18 Quartiero = 1 box
  • 100 quartiero = 1 ton
