Quintus Caecilius Redditus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quintus Caecilius Redditus was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd century AD .

A military diploma dated November 19, 102 shows that Redditus 102 was in command of the Cohors I Montanorum , which was stationed in the province of Pannonia at the time. Another diploma, dated January 12, 105, proves that he was 105 commander of the Cohors I Britannica milliaria civium Romanorum , which was stationed in the province of Moesia superior at that time . An inscription found in Troesmis shows that he graduated from the Tres militiae ; his third military post is therefore likely to have been in command of an Ala .

A third diploma, dated November 18, 122, proves that he was 122 governor of the province of Mauretania Tingitana . Another inscription found in Celeia shows that he was then governor ( Procurator Augusti ) of the province of Noricum .
