Quintus Florius Maternus

Quintus Florius Maternus was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd century AD .

Two dedicatory inscriptions that were found at the Vercovicium fort and that are dated 101/200, prove that Maternus was prefect of the Cohors I Tungrorum in the 2nd century , which was stationed in the province of Britannia at that time .
