from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quitzdorf was a medieval village southwest of Putlitz in the Prignitz . In the 15th century it was named Zwirgsdorf , Zwirgsdorff and Zwickstorff and in the 18th century Quicksdorff .

location

The desert lies on the Feldmark von Putlitz, southwest of the city, between Gülitz , Krocksdorf and Lockstädt . Presumably the former village location is at the place of today's residential area Stadtheide or in its vicinity.

history

The first written mention of the place from the year 1492 can be found in the more recent translation of main part 1, volume 1, page 324 of the " Codex diplomaticus Brandenburgensis ". In the “Privilegium of the noble lords of Putlitz for the city of Putlitz v. Year 1492 ”he is recorded with the name Zwirgsdorf and the citizens of Putlitz are enfeoffed with the fields they have bought. At that time the village no longer existed and the associated desert field of the same name was still owned by the citizens of Putlitz.
